AuthSMTP - The Global SMTP Service

AuthSMTP is an outgoing email service that will allow you to send emails from your email address. It works from almost any normal Internet connection providing that your email program or application supports SMTP authentication.

SMTP authentication is where your email program connects to an SMTP server and sends a username and password to authenticate and allow you to send emails through that server.

AuthSMTP works in the following way:

- You sign up for an account using the email address you want to send from
- We send you an email to that address containing your username / password and access details
- You can use these details to setup the service in your email program or application to send email or to login to the Control Panel

AuthSMTP is compatible with almost all email programs / applications that support SMTP authentication such as:

- Mobile devices (iPhone / iTouch / iPod, Windows Mobile devices, Symbian S60 devices)

AuthSMTP is very simple to setup and we provide setup guides for most of the major email programs. If you are configuring the service with some of the more complex mail server software or a custom application you may need to consult the software or application vendors for advice on how to setup authenticated SMTP.

AuthSMTP scans outgoing messages for viruses and other bad content. If they are detected the message will be blocked and returned to you with an explanation so that the recipient does not receive it.

You can optionally enable email duplication so that any emails you send through AuthSMTP are duplicated to an email address of your choice - the main purpose of this feature is so that you can keep a backup of messages that you send.

AuthSMTP can help with many of the common causes of poor deliverability - we monitor various third party blacklists, are signed up to many ISP feedback loop services and all our servers have correct / valid DNS and reverse DNS entries. We can also provide specific advice on your emails to help resolve other / content related issues.
